Bowling Tryouts Friday October 30th

Northmont has "open" tryouts to which all students, new and experienced, are invited to attend. Tryouts for the boys and girls bowling teams will be Friday October 30th from 3:30 - 5:00pm at Thunderbowl Lanes. The team selection is based on 4 criteria, being coachable, a team-first attitude, a willingness to learn new skills, and talent. Prior to high school many of our team bowlers were never exposed to organized bowling, and have enjoyed great success. The boys team has qualified for the state championships the past 2 years and the girls team is looking to join them this year.

Bowling is the fastest growing high school sport in the nation. Ohio currently has 360+ participating schools. Northmont competes in the Greater Western Ohio Conference and is a Division l bowling school.

Many of our athletes will have the opportunity to attend college as bowling scholarship recipients. Over 200 colleges and universities have bowling programs and bowling is recognized as a women's intercollegiate sport by the NCAA.
